Justin Bieber‘s entourage and security at the BET Awards got into a heated showdown — which ended with JB declaring the doorman was “a douche bag” … and the whole incident went down on camera.

TMZ obtained the video, which shows Bieber — who was a presenter at the award show — and his squad being stopped at the door last weekend. It appears one of Justin’s bodyguards did NOT have a ticket … and while both sides argued, Biebs eventually interrupted by saying, “I need to bring my security! This guy’s a douche bag.”

Everyone on Team Bieb ended up getting into the show — and a BET rep downplayed the incident … saying, “It is our standard policy to make sure everyone has their tickets or credential upon arrival. Justin had the proper credentials.”

As for Justin — his rep says the Biebs was just standing up for his bodyguards … the guys who always have his back.

Justin Bieber & Chris Brown at 2011 BET Awards

Justin Bieber keeps it cool on the green carpet as he arrives at the 2011 BET Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday afternoon (June 26) in Los Angeles.

The 17-year-old musician tweeted about his upcoming performance at the event, “Having a great time at the #betawards. Getting ready to get on stage with my girl @nickiminaj.”

Justin snapped a pick from the audience with good friends Jaden and Willow Smith, who were both nominated for the YoungStar Award.

Jaden and Justin were actually hanging out all weekend. “Just Got Attacked By 100 Girls At The Movies!” he tweeted.

The BET Awards honor the best in African American contribution to entertainment, which is exactly why Justin Bieber will be there. The pasty pint-sized Canadian will inject a little Bieb into things when he makes a special appearance at this year’s show.

The 17 year-old maestro of tween pop will be at the Black Entertainment Television Awards on June 26 along with singers like Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Rowland, Trey Songz, Lil Wayne, Drake, Chris Brown, Alicia Keys and Jill Scott.

Of course, Bieber isn’t exactly a newbieb on the BET scene. Last year he received a nomination in the Best New Artist category after the runaway success of his album, My World 2.0.

Bieber has also confessed in the past that he has been heavily influenced by black music, most notably that of Michael Jackson. “He was so broad, everybody loved him, and that’s what my goal is – to basically make people happy, to inspire them, and to have everyone root for me,” Bieber said last year.

In general, Bieber says he doesn’t see music along color lines. It’s all good no matter what color you are….

Music is music and I’m definitely influenced by Michael Jackson and Boyz II Men and people who were black artists – that’s what I like. But I like their voices and I like how they entertain – it’s not about what color they are.

The BET Awards airs live from L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium at 8 p.m. EST on June 26.

Justin just lost both awards he was up for at the BET Awards. He lost the BET Fandemonium award to Chris Brown which is no biggie. Despite what happened with Rihanna, Chris Brown is still a very popular guy among the hip hop and r&b community.

What is a major surprise and has Beliebers starting to talk is how Justin could lose the New Artist of the Year award to Nicki Minaj. Right before the award ceremonies started Justin was leading the votes by a landslide with 54% while Nicki was at 27%. It wasn’t even close. And yet somehow Nicki’s name was called at the awards ceremony.

A little fishy don’t you think? Maybe someone decided they didn’t want to give the award to a white boy from Canada.
