Forbes has come out with their list of Highest-Paid Musicians (between July 2012 to June 2013) and Justin has been named as the 6th highest earner raking in $58 million.
No. 6: Justin Bieber ($58 million)
Since appearing on the cover of FORBES last year, the Canadian crooner has toured the world and earned another $58 million (that sum would have been even higher if we hadn’t credited him with a double-digit million-dollar merchandise advance last year). He also owns stakes in startups including Enflick, Tinychat and Spotify.
Forbes magazine has just come out with their list of Highest Paid Celebrities under 30 and Taylor Swift and Justin tops the list!
Taylor Swift:
We estimate that between May 2011 and May 2012, Swift earned $57 million. Each of the 22-year-old singer’s three albums have gone platinum at least four times, meaning that in these days of waning music sales, Swift can be counted on to sell at least 4 million copies of every album.
Then there’s her concerts, which bring in an average of $1 million per night, and her endorsement work for products like CoverGirl makeup. Swift’s money and fame helped her land in 11th place on our annual Celebrity 100 list this year, which is based on earnings and metrics we’ve developed to quantify buzz.
Justin Bieber:
The highest-ranking man on our list isn’t even old enough to drink. Just 18 years old, Justin Bieber comes in a close second behind Swift with $55 million in earnings. Bieber (who appeared on the cover of our Celebrity 100 issue this year) earns big from his music sales, concerts and endorsements for products like Proactiv. The Bieb is also a budding venture capitalist: He’s made investments in start-up companies like Stamped, Tinychat and Spotify.
Bieber is the only male in the top five.
Btw Forbes ranks Justin as the third most powerful celebrity behind Jennifer Lopez & Oprah Winfrey. Taylor is 11th on that list.

The 18-year-old idol ranks third on FORBES’ annual Celeb 100 issue, and with $108 million in earnings over the past two years, he’s one of the world’s highest-paid entertainers. Click through to see more photos from our cover shoot, or read the full story here.
These pictures from Forbes are so stunning. The best pictures I think I’ve ever seen. He looks so mature and sophisticated in the suit. I really like the outdoor pictures.
Forbes just came out with their 100 most powerful celebrities list and for the second year in a row Justin is ranked #3 behind Jennifer Lopez and Oprah Winfrey. They chose to put Justin on the cover.
There was an article titled “Justin Bieber’s Days Are Numbered” the other day written by Forbes Magazine writer Kiri Blakeley. Read it yourself and you will see why I didn’t want to post it. Well now the story becomes a little more interesting. You must have noticed that Justin tweeted yesterday:
“doubt us…i like it that way…makes us work harder…just makes us want to prove you wrong. every step we’ve been doubted. why change now”
Justin doesn’t tweet messages directed to haters unless there is something happening. Not only was this tweet directed to Kiri Blakeley but Justin ended up following both her personal and work Twitter accounts. And when Kiri Blakeley tweeted to a friend that Justin is now followering her on Twitter, Justin tweeted:
“Keep your enemies close.”
That would be a weird response but somehow I can’t seem to find that tweet. Was it deleted? Can anyone confirm?
No doubt hate started pouring in from all directions from Beliebers and now she is shaking in her knees. That’s why she just posted “An Open Apology to Justin Bieber“. LOL. Boo! lol Don’t mess with Beliebers.
To tell you the truth I didn’t even bother reading the whole article and I don’t intend to so I can’t say much about it other than something about how Justin Bieber doesn’t have any songs that’s memorable. Hello? If Justin Bieber doesn’t have any songs that are memorable then why do I remember all the words to all his songs? Duh!@$$#^
Fame favors the young. If you doubt that, just take a look at the singers, movie stars and athletes on our annual list of the Best-Paid Celebrities Under 30.
These guys haven’t gotten rich through decades of careful, prudent investing, like some of the top members of our Forbes 400. But they have sweated and spent a lot of sleepless nights honing and promoting their talents. That hard work helped these 20 young stars bring in a total of $690 million between May 2010 and May 2011.
The youngest star on our list is Justin Bieber. In his meteoric rise to fame, the 17-year-old crooner skipped the dues-paying drudgery of touring clubs and small venues that many artists go through to work their way up. Instead, at a time when most teens are worrying about who to invite to prom, he’s been touring the world and starring in a hit concert documentary. Bieber ranks second on our list with $53 million in earnings over the past 12 months. That money, plus his incredible fame, helped him debut in third place on our annual Celebrity 100 list, which measures wealth and fame.
Bieber is one of seven musicians who make our list. A world tour of arenas can be incredibly lucrative and almost all of our music stars had big tours this year. Lady Gaga, who ranks first on our list, grossed $170 million from 137 shows in 22 countries. Gaga is, of course, no slouch when it comes to music sales. Between May 2010 and May 2011 (before her latest album, Born This Way, dropped) she sold an estimated 15 million albums worldwide. We estimate that over that time Gaga earned $90 million. She ranked first on our Celebrity 100 list this year because of her earnings power and her ability to always attract attention, whether she’s wearing a meat dress or arriving on stage in an egg.
If you thought it was impossible for a 17-year-old to debut on our list of the most powerful people in entertainment at No. 3, just behind Oprah Winfrey, Justin Bieber proves you can never say never.
One of our stars to watch last year, the tween heartthrob hit the list thanks to 500 million views on YouTube and a concert movie that hauled in $100 million at the global box office. Bieber has more than 9.6 million followers on Twitter, more than Kim Kardashian, Ashton Kutcher and President Obama. In the past year, Bieber made nearly $40 million from touring. Endorsement deals, music sales and merchandising bumped him to a total of $53 million. Not too shabby for a kid barely old enough to drive.
Usher, the man responsible for discovering Justin Bieber, also makes his debut on our list this year, coming in at No. 32. The R&B icon brought in $46 million in the past year for his concert appearances and album sales, as well as impressive sales from his back catalogue dating from the ‘90s. [continue reading…]
