A 16 year-old who can barely drive has the most watched video for the month of April.
With the help of rapper Ludacris, Justin Bieber has accumulated more than 55.25 million views for his hit song, “Baby,” throughout the entire web.

Not impressed? We should note that the official music video for “Baby” was uploaded over two months ago to video behemoth Vevo/YouTube, and it doesn’t even crack the top 100 of April views for YouTube.

So how did Justin Bieber get those 55.25 million views? Two reasons:

There are multiple copies of the same video on sites like YouTube. All the views that should be going to the official video are instead spread out throughout the other uploaded versions. Imagine a new Starbucks store taking away the market share from the older Starbucks across the street.

The video has a reach that extends beyond YouTube. Yes, there are other video sites on the Internet aside from YouTube, and they’re gaining views for Justin Bieber’s dancing and singing abilities. Apparently, the music consuming youth still use sites like MTV.com and MySpace.

If that doesn’t impress you, then this might: Justin Bieber has made a total of four music videos. All four videos are in April’s top 10 list of most watched videos.

Whether you like him or not, Justin Bieber is taking over the Internet.

Most watched videos for April:

1. Justin Bieber – Baby ft. Ludacris
2. Lady Gaga – Bad Romance
3. Justin Bieber – One Time
4. Justin Bieber – Never Let You Go
5. Lady Gaga – Telephone
6. Lin Yu Chun Sings Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”
7. Justin Bieber – One Less Lonely Girl
8. Rihanna – Rude Boy
9. Miley Cyrus – Party In The USA

10. Glee Open Casting Call Video With Mark Salling And Naya Rivera

That’s 4 for 4. Anyone wanna bet Eenie Meenie makes it on the list for May? JB should just come out with 10 videos and take over the whole list! :p

Justin‘s My World 2.0 returned to #1 on The Billboard 200, replacing Usher’s Raymond V Raymond, which debuted in the top spot last week, reports YahooJustin is the youngest male solo artist ever to top the chart for two or more weeks. Ricky Nelson was 17 in 1958 when he topped the chart for two weeks with Ricky. Stevie Wonder’s Little Stevie Wonder/ The 12 Year Old Genius, released in 1963 when he was 13, managed just one week on top.
My World 2.0 has sold 676,000 copies in its first three weeks. It took Justin’s My World EP seven weeks to sell that many copies. My World 2.0 has sold more copies in three weeks than Jonas Brothers’ latest studio album, Lines, Vines And Trying Times, has sold in its entire run. Jonas Brothers’ album has sold 635,000 copies since its release in June. ‘Baby’ has sold 1,525,000 digital copies and ‘One Time’ has sold 1,815,000 copies in the past 40 weeks.
Excitement is already building for the release of Justin Bieber‘s new album My World 2.0(which hits store shelves and digital outlets on Tuesday, March 23). His singles continue to burn up the charts (“Baby” currently sits at number 12 on the current Billboard Hot 100) and he has a giant tour coming up soon. It has been a remarkable rise for Bieber, who has been in the public’s consciousness for less than a year but has become in that brief time span.
He didn’t do it alone, of course. Bieber’s trip to the top has been mostly because of his intense work ethic (the dude is everywhere, all the time) and because of his commitment to social networking. His devotion to his own fans has turned him into a star, and he has racked up some impressive statistics. Here is Justin Bieber by the numbers.
