Justin Bieber has become the first person to top 2 billion YouTube views.

The singer passed the milestone over the weekend after his latest music video for festive track ‘Mistletoe’ reached 27 million views in a week.

To date, the star has amassed 2,004,247,332 views across the video-sharing site.

Bieber continues to hold the record for the most viewed music video on YouTube with his clip for ‘Baby’ currently sitting at 650 million hits.

Lady GaGa beat the 17-year-old to the 1 billion mark back in October 2010, but he quickly overtook and now has a lead of 320 million.

However, GaGa still remains the most popular person on Twitter with 15 million followers compared to Bieber’s 13.9 million.

Meanwhile, Rihanna comes in as the third-highest YouTube star with 1.7 billion views and is currently the fastest-growing, while Eminem trails with 1.5bn.

The top 10 music stars on YouTube are as follows:

1. Justin Bieber – 2 billion
2. Lady GaGa – 1.88 billion
3. Rihanna – 1.7 billion
4. Eminem – 1.51 billion
5. Shakira – 1.21 billion
6. Black Eyed Peas – 1.11 billion
7. Britney Spears – 1.01 billion

It’s an astonishing number: 2 billion. That’s the number Justin Bieber will soon hit in Youtube views of his videos. Lady Gaga isn’t too far behind.

When it comes to Youtube views of his music videos Justin Bieber is getting close to a number that seems rather incredible, to say the least – 2 billion. Yes, that’s 2 billion; as of Oct. 15, 2011, the Canadian super-crooner has had, and this according to Famecount.com, 1,936,079,930 views.

And counting.

At the rate the 17-year-old Bieb’s material is getting viewed, and with the upcoming planned release of his song Mistletoe on Oct. 18 from a Christmas album, ‘Under the Mistletoe’ (the album is coming out on Nov. 1), Bieber could hit that 2 billion figure in a very short period of time. Famecount is a social media aggregator that tracks social media numbers throughout the world wide web.

Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga: Social Media Count War

It was actually about a year ago almost exactly that Bieber and Lady Gaga each first reached one billion Youtube views, the end of October of 2010. At that time Bieber was beaten to that landmark number by Lady Gaga, who has since fallen behind him in Youtube views. However, at 1,858,625,368 she’s not all that far behind.

Just about 78,000,000 views behind.

According to Famecount.com Gaga leads Bieber in Twitter followers, she leads the planet in Twitter followers, with about 14,500,000 to Bieber’s second place 13,400,000. As for the other major social media count, Facebook Fans, leader is Eminem, who nears 50,000,000 with Lady Gaga in third place and Justin Bieber sitting in sixth.

Youtube Bieber Hit Baby Leads in Views

The song that has received the most Youtube views of any is Bieber’s hit Baby, featuring Ludacris; that song now has about 650,000,000 views on its own. Lady Gaga’s biggest performer is Bad Romance with over 425,000,000 views. Other high performing Bieber songs include his One Time and Never Say Never, that version featuring Jaden Smith.

Rihanna is third in Youtube views (1,630,000,000), Eminem fourth (1,480,000,000), Shakira fifth (1,180,000,000).

As of this writing Bieber is gaining an astonishing 2,600,000 Youtube views each and every day and that number is going to skyrocket when the video for Mistletoe is released. It is conceivable that his numbers could hit that 2 billion mark in Youtube views by early in November.

Oh these guys are hilarious. They are same US Marines stationed in Afghanistan who became world famous after their Britney Spears “Hold It Against Me” video hit Youtube. They actually did this video first before their Britney one but chose not to release it, until now. Maybe they were too embarrassed?

If you’re browsing the Twittersphere right now, you might notice that the trending topics list is saturated with pop music references. Many TTs are due to last night’s MTV Video Music Awards, but some are there thanks to the work of one iLCreation.

Music videos from the likes of Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and more are officially down on YouTube right now.

First, and most importantly to the tweens on Twitter, is the outage of the Justin Bieber VEVO channel. All of his videos have been removed based on a copyright claim from iLCreative (as you can see from the lead image).

Other casualties of iLCreative’s rampage? Rhianna. Her video for “What’s My Name?” currently bears the same takedown notice. Users on Twitter are also reporting missing videos from Bruno Mars, Beyonce, and Miley Cyrus.

One step closer to Lady Gaga

Just a few minutes ago Justin surpassed 9 million followers and tweeted

9 MILLION!!! I LOVE YOU PEOPLE!!!

At this moment Lady Gaga, the reigning Queen of Twitter, has exactly 9,497,783 Little Monsters following her so Justin is less than half a million Beliebers away from becoming the King of Twitter.

Once he becomes the Most Followed person on Twitter, JB only has one last title left needed to become the undisputed King of the Internet since he has already conquered Youtube (Most Viewed Video) and Google (Most Searched Person). And that is to become the Most Liked Person on Facebook.

since we got #9millionbeliebers I wanted to give u all a gift. so here is a gif we made. THank You for EVERYTHING!

Enimen currently leads all with close to 34 million likes while Justin seems to be really picking up steam lately and has now surpassed 25 million likes since becoming famous less than 2 years ago.

Twitter is in the bag and I have no doubt he will also take over Facebook in less than 1 year from now.

Congrats Justin Drew Bieber on all your achievements!!

Justin’s “Baby” video on Youtube has now surpassed the 500 million mark leapfrogging the former #1 video, Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” which now has 362 million views.

“Baby” also holds the record for most dislikes at 1.15 million. But have no fear because the incredibly annoying “Friday” from Rebecca Black has already reached 1.14 million dislikes and the video has just been out a month ago. Now that’s a title I’m sure Justin wouldn’t mind losing.

It’s official: Justin Bieber’s “Baby” is the most-watched music video on YouTube of 2010!

Production values, or the fact it’s a cheesy dance video set in a bowling alley be damned, Canadians watched Justin Bieber’s “Baby” more than any other music video on YouTube this year. And because 408,641,194 (…195, 196, 197) views isn’t enough for pop’s reigning elf, the lords of YouTube have made re-watching the clip even easier. YouTube has just launched a special site called Rewind, which features what we all love most at this time of year: endless lists.

Bieber appears three times on the Top 10 list of Canadians’ most-watched music videos — four if you stretch things to count his participation in that Young Artists for Haiti single, “Wavin’ Flag.” (You can check out the top 10 — with embedded video — below this blurb.)

But The Bieb’s tiny-fisted stranglehold on the U.S. Top 10 is even tighter. The Stratford-born Bieber’s “Baby” also appears on the U.S. list in the No. 1 slot, but Biebz scores four videos on that set of rankings.

There’s plenty of overlap between what Canadian and U.S. YouTube users were watching in 2010, though (i.e. Bieber, Bieber and Bieber). Both Top 10s feature the same two Eminem hits (“Not Afraid,” “Love the Way You Lie”) as well as videos from Shakira (“Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)”) and Rihanna (“Rude Boy”). However, Canadians apparently don’t hit refresh on Lady Gaga videos with quite the same fervency as our neighbours. Though she was one of the most ubiquitous figures of 2010, and features with two videos — “Alejandro” and “Telephone” — on the U.S. Top 10, Lady Gaga doesn’t rate on the Canadian list. Instead, we were watching videos by Usher (“OMG”) and Katy Perry (“California Gurls”). If you don’t stand at attention and sing “O Canada” the next time you see her lactate whipped cream, a baby seal will die.
