is it just me or his voice sounds weird? well. at least he didn’t lip-sync, this is definitely a better performance compare to The Voice and Billboard. But still not that good tho. somehow his voice reminds me of the quacking sound of a duck LOL :p

Best performance of Boyfriend by, far. I agree with the other chic i ‘believe’ he was just nervous to perform at the Billboard awards and The Voice, and he focused way more on his vocals than he did on his singing….Justin if you read these. BRAVO my love. See you in KC
Perfect Bieber performance. He has type his old style that fans are used but he also added the maturity to it also! I think he has it down now. Old fans but new older fans are going to his new tour. It is going to be awesome!
FINALLY a decent performance of this song! The only real problems were the background music being to loud over his voice, and the back up singers singing the one really high note while he attempted it, which was clearly so they could drown out him not hitting that high note. :/
But FINALLY he did it! MOST of this was very good. He has to work on his breath control though, and then he should be good.
I agree with you Roxanne! The backup singers acted as a sort of pitch pipe when he was trying to hit that note! But I am sure its no different than what Usher had to do when his voice was changing tho! I hope he takes “Momma Jan” with him on this tour! He needs her now more than ever:)
I also agree that this was his best performance of Boyfriend yet. Its a hard song to perform live in general, but he did a great job. The dancing was sexy and more mature. I think that he was nervous on all the other shows, but Ellen is always so nice and sweet to him that he feels more at ease on her show. I love them both.
It shouldn’t be hard for him to perform his own song.. The whole point of making music is to be able to sing it perfectly live too, or else you’ll just look like a joke who depends on technology to make you sound better than you really are.

But I disagree with you saying he doesn’t have vocals anymore. That’s not true at all. He definitely still has mad vocals, he’s just not using them properly, and is making melodies that don’t truly fit his voice.
You don’t know that, you aren’t part of his team. If he truly did have vocals like you said, his team would be encouraging him to make songs that shows that he has pure singing talent, not having him come out with mediocre songs that he can’t even perform properly.
I know he still has vocal skills because I’ve seen videos of him singing acappella very recently … he also didn’t do horribly with this performance.
I SAID he’s not using his vocals properly, and he’s not making songs that reflect his vocals. His team should encourage him to make songs that sound good with him. I never disagreed with that.

Yay I’m so happy he finally performed this song well! I can tell he has been working to fix the problem spots. Mainly the falsetto which I don’t think he can hit correctly coming out of his “rap” so he had the backup singers sing that part louder over his voice which is ok. Its so much better than lip syncing nearly the entire song. I think he feels more comfortable with Ellen which probably made a difference as well

okay I watched Ellen because I THOUGHT I would be entertained. I have endured her repeat visits from Justin- I think he is a nice kid who performs and does good for others. BUT today Ellen DROPPED the ball for me. To bring a 6 and 4 year old out on stage and say they are experts on Presidents THEN to set them up- I mean you could totally tell the 6 year old was TOLD what to say- that he would vote for Obama because he suppports boys and girls to get married- made me fall off my chair!!! I cannot believe Ellen has stooped SO low to get Obama re-elected that she would bring such young children to promote her political beliefs. It was DISCUSTING. A 6 & 4 year old have NO clue who should marry, nor do they know what goes on between married couples and should in NO way be USED for their parents OR Ellen’s political agenda. I turned off the TV and will in NO way ever watch this women again. I watched to be ENTERTAINED. It has totally become the Ellen- sway you in my favor-show.
what does this have to do with Justin’s performance?
Well if you go back and watch the recording video he had trouble highing the high notes. He was struggling to get up there. So with dancing he is never going t to be able to hit the high notes… Which is funny because the pitch on his past CD was always higher than what he sang on stage.
