Universal, Justin’s record label, just asked the Manhattan (New York) Supreme Court to approve their contract with JB which was signed in December 2009.
The contract states that Justin got $400,000 US dollars cash up front for his debut album “My World”. (But that’s not all he makes from the album. He also gets a portion of the sales of his CD plus royalties. Royalties are what you get paid each time a radio or tv plays your song so he’ll be making a lot more than the $400,000.)
The documents also says that Justin is ‘providing his services as a recording artist in recording studios located in New York City’ and that the judge should not worry because Justin’s work load will not interfere with his education and welfare.
