Wow this South American leg of the Believe Tour is turning out to be one to remember. Justin has officially been charged by the police in Brazil for painting graffiti in Rio de Janeiro illegally.
He has said he had permission to paint the graffiti after reports came out that police were investigating into whether he committed an offence after he was photographed spray painting the graffiti.
Indeed, the local authorities actually gave Bieber permission to spray paint on a sports facility, but according to members of his entourage, the singer apparently instead chose to tag a wall on the nearby, abandoned Hotel Nacional to avoid his fans. For police, however, authorization from the city did not mean Bieber could pick and choose where he painted.
Even though police has called this a “minor offense” he has officially been charged with “defacing a building or urban monument by graffiti or other means” and could face a hefty fine or even a year behind bars if authorities choose to make an example of him.
I doubt they’ll end up doing anything. Besides he’s already left the country. And if he is charged then I say they also need to charge the guy in red too.
Today Justin posted on Instagram:
Every place I have tagged has been approved I do not suggest tagging private property.. I still suck but i have fun doing it 😉
