A collection of 39 songs donated by various artists to help raise relief funds for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan went on sale this Monday. Justin has donated his song ‘I Would’ from the Believe Acoustics album to the cause.
Thousands were killed, injured and displaced by Typhoon Haiyan earlier this month and officials have struggled to keep up with humanitarian aid demands.
The album which is titled “Songs for the Philippines” is available on iTunes.
Justin Bieber is No. 1 on Billboard’s weekly slate of Hot Tours based on revenue from the Latin American leg of his Believe tour that covered 12 countries during a four-week trek. Five concerts were reported this week, four of which were stadium shows. With more than 113,000 sold tickets, sales topped $12.2 million from cities in the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Paraguay, Argentina and Chile.
The top gross and attendance counts came from Chile with a Nov. 12 performance in the largest stadium in the country, Estadio Nacional. Located in Santiago, the venue hosted a crowd of 48,000 to see the Canadian pop star along with Carly Rae Jepsen who provided support for the show. Bieber also performed at the Santiago stadium during the My World tour, his first as a headliner in 2011.
