Justin Bieber tops the Hot Tours rankings with box office grosses reported from the first two venues on the Australian leg of his My World Tour during April and May. Arenas in Brisbane and Sydney hosted the Canadian pop star with sold out crowds in both markets to kick off the brief trek Down Under.
An April 26 performance at Brisbane Entertainment Centre grossed just over $1 million ($1.1 million US$) with 11,065 in attendance. Two days later, Bieber played the first night of a two show run in Sydney at the Acer Arena. Attendance for both nights neared the 30,000 mark with ticket sales totals topping $2.6 million ($2.8 million US$). Promoted by Frontier Touring Co., the Aussie tour leg continued into the first week of May playing arenas in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
