Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith aren’t usually rivals — but TMZ has learned the two young superstars went toe-to-toe a few nights ago … in the form of a dance-battle at a NY bowling alley.

TMZ has obtained pictures of Biebs, 16, and Smith, 12, in action at the Lucky Strike Lanes & Lounge on Tuesday night … following their concert at Madison Square Garden.

We’re told the dynamic duo got down to Kevin Rudolf’s song “You Make the Rain Fall” — and the whole thing was captured on tape by Bieber’s documentary crew.

Our sources say both guys “killed it” on the dance floor … but we’re told Bieber was the clear winner … when he busted out a moonwalk!

Justin Bieber & Jaden Smith Never Say Never

The pair met after the young actor appeared in 16-year-old Justin’s music promo for Never Say Never, a track which featured on The Karate Kid soundtrack. Jaden landed his first lead role playing Dre Parker in a re-imagining of the popular 80s martial arts movie and also showed off his musical skills by lending his vocals to Never Say Never.

They have remained in contact since shooting the music video and Justin is keen for 12-year-old Jaden to perform alongside him. Jaden will reportedly surprise the crowd by appearing at Justin’s concert at Madison Square Garden, in New York, on August 31.

Jaden’s superstar parents Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are expected to attend the show to cheer their son on.

“Special security arrangements are being made for Jaden, who will appear onstage, and his family, including Will, to be in the audience for the concert,” a source told the New York Post.

Other guests set to appear include Sean Kingston and Jessica Jarrell.

In what was supposed to be an epic battle of the 80s revival this weekend, turned out to be a fizzer as The Karate Kid smashed expectations to beat The A-Team at the US box office. Could Justin Bieber have wielded his influence to help the movie win?

According to Exhibitor Relations, the Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan reboot will walk away with a $53 million haul compared to The A-Team’s $27 million.

Deadline Hollywood reports that Justin Bieber may have helped The Karate Kid defy expectations – the movie has made nearly double of what was predicted – courtesy of the singer’s pairing with Smith on the theme song Never Say Never.

Additionally, Bieber posted a message on Twitter urging his 3 million plus followers to go and see the flick, which may have assisted with the movie’s massive haul.
