The awards for Teen Choice 2012 will celebrate the icons in television, music, film, sports, fashion, comedy and the web in a two-hour event, airing live July 22 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on Fox.
The singer was spotted arriving in style for lunch at a Mexican restaurant with a friend before zooming off in the bright sunshine, which reflected off the striking vehicle.
Despite the highly noticeable car, Justin seemed keen not to be recognised, and spent much of the time with his baseball cap pulled down over his eyes as he returned to the vehicle with a male friend.
The singer wore typically casual clothes, sporting a red and white jacket, black trousers and white trainers.
He later headed to rehearsals for Sunday night’s Billboard awards which will see him perform.
Shy guy: Justin Bieber seemed keen to remain unrecognised today, keeping his baseball cap pulled down over his eyes as he left the restaurant.
Justin has been saying he’s been rehearsing hard and if I had to guess I think he’s here rehearsing for his performance for the Billboard Awards coming this weekend. The dance moves look amazing! Reminds me of Michael Jackson a bit. I think he’ll blow everyone away this Sunday night.
Showbiz Tonight goes on location at the Beverly Hilton to talk with Justin Bieber and his manger, Scooter Braun about their extremely lucrative partnership. “We have a very special relationship that’s very — it’s not a normal manager-client relationship. He is family,” says Scooter Braun.
Justin Bieber adds, “His parents say that I’m their revenge, basically, because I have a lot of energy and I’m always giving him a hard time…at times he can be annoying, but I know he’s only trying to have me have the best character.”
Scooter Braun reveals the teen heartthrob initially had doubts about his own success telling Showbiz Tonight, “When I met Justin, he didn’t even know what was possible. He never wanted to be famous, he never wanted to be a star . . . it didn’t even seem possible . . . when I showed him how it could happen . . . I have never seen anyone fight as hard.”
