Justin Bieber & Mariah Carey on the set of "All I Want For Christmas" 2011
Justin Bieber is #1 on Billboard’s final Holiday songs chart of this season, beating Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, which had been #1 for the past four weeks.
The chart started this year and ranks holiday songs using airplay information from more than 1,200 radio stations, along with download sales and streaming data.
Justin actually has 3 songs on the chart. His duet with Mariah in a new version of “All I Want” jumped up to #24. JB also has another song on the chart, with his version of “Drummer Boy” at #9.
Non-Christmas songs made the list as well, like Adam Sandler’s “The Chanukah Song”, which came in at #20.
Here’s the top five:
1. Justin Bieber – “Mistletoe”
2. Mariah Carey – “All I Want For Christmas Is You”
3. Jose Feliciano – “Feliz Navidad”
4. Nat King Cole – “The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas to You)”
5. Brenda Lee – “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”
Justin performed on the semi-finals of X-Factor UK but as most of you may know this was a pre-recorded performance.
And don’t forget to watch X-Factor USA on Thursday, Dec 15 because Justin will be performing “All I Want For Christmas” live with Mariah Carey. Can’t wait!
Nick Cannon recently revealed his spouse is in her element planning the babies’ first Christmas and the family will spend the holiday season in the exclusive ski resort of Apsen, Colorado where they will “be as festive as we can.”
He added: “I think my wife has been planning this all her life, Christmas with the kids. We always have a real Santa Claus come with real reindeer on Christmas Eve, but this is the first time with our own children.”
Plus he added Justin Bieber aren’t allowed to babysit their kids.
The ‘Baby’ singer hit it off with the 41-year-old songstress when they filmed a video for their duet of Mariah’s single ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You‘ recently, but despite their friendship Mariah’s husband Nick Cannon has no plans to let the 17-year-old popstar care for their seven-month-old babies Moroccan and Monroe.
He said: “Justin didn’t meet our kids because Mariah didn’t bring them to the set of the video. I think he will eventually but hell no would I ever let him baby-sit!”
Justin has announced that his music video with Mariah is debuting during the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting special:
“BIG NEWS! Me and @MariahCarey will debut “All I Want For Christmas Is You” Video WORLDWIDE on the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting. #4DAYS”
As we all know Justin has already pre-recorded his performance for the TV special and now we get a special bonus because the premiere for the video with Mariah will also air during the special. Don’t miss it. Watch it at 8PM on NBC Nov 30th.
It just wouldn’t be Christmas without Mariah Carey.
The festive diva teamed up with Justin Bieber to shoot a video for their remake of Mariah’s classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You” on Wednesday (Nov. 2) in New York City. The “SuperFestive!” version of their duet appears on Bieber’s holiday album Under the Mistletoe.
The superstars shut down Macy’s for the late-night shoot directed by Sanaa Hamri (“Crybaby”) and even got some early Christmas shopping done.
Mariah Carey with Jill E Beans
Roc and Roe’s mom modeled a glamorous look inspired by a vintage animated Christmas card as she shot scenes in a sleigh, while Bieber dressed for the season in a flannel shirt and red vest.
They were joined on set by Mariah’s puppy Jill E. Beans and “American Idol’s” Randy Jackson, who helped put the collaboration together.
