The Biebs global domination of 2012 continues. With ‘Boyfriend’ all over the place and a clip of the video set to premiere on ‘The Voice‘ tomorrow night (April 16), Justin Bieber is completely dominating the media landscape. Not even the Tribeca Film Festival, held every year in New York City, is immune to Bieber Fever.
Both The Biebs and his manager Scooter Braun (also the manager of The Wanted) are being honored with a 2012 Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Award, which celebrated “leading disruptive innovators” who have impacted the worlds of business, technology, arts and entertainment. That certainly sounds like our boy Bieber and his career guider Braun.
The terrific twosome “will be honored for the historic discovery of Bieber on YouTube and his subsequent social media rise,” according to a post on the festival’s official website. The festival obviously looks at trends in the all media, including social, and Bieber is certainly emblematic of web-created superstardom.
Congrats to the Biebs and Braun for this recognition. They will reportedly be on hand to accept the award in person. This year’s TFF runs from April 18 through April 19.
Sorry folks. Still trying to catch up on the Bieber news that I’ve missed during the last week while I was away from Belieberland. Even though some stuff are late I’m not gonna miss anything important so you don’t miss anything important. And this announcement from Scooter that Justin’s Believe tour tickets are going on sale in May is definitely important.
I’m definitely going to Justin’s upcoming concert. Are you?
Everyone has heard of the story of how Justin met Usher. If you don’t then here it is….
Scooter brought Justin to a recording studio in Atlanta where Usher was going to be at. They waited until Usher arrived and Justin ran up to Usher in the parking lot to ask him if he could sing a song for Usher. Usher told him to go inside because it was raining. When they got inside Usher refused to listen to Justin sing and told him if it was meant to be they would meet again. I think Justin actually tried twice to meet Usher but failed. Why wouldn’t Usher hear him out? …click to read the full story
Surprised with a Friday night party at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel put on by his manager Scooter Braun and his mom Patti Mallette, Justin Bieber spent the night with celebrities friends Kim Kardashian, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Mike Tyson, Cody Simpson, Ashley Tisdale, Carly Rae Jepsen, Jaden Smith and others. And Selena Gomez flew in from filming “Spring Breakers” in Florida to attend the special night.
“Everyone danced all night,” a partygoer told Us Weekly of the party.
Dressed in a black and white suit, the man of the hour mingled with his grandparents and other friends who flew in from Canada for the occasion, but largely stuck by Gomez’s side.
“He was all over Selena the whole time, walking her around by the hand. He kept kissing her,” a source close to the pop star tells Us of his birthday PDA with Gomez, 19. “It’s clear she was the best part of the night for him. He is still so in love with her.”
In addition to his friends-and-family bash, Bieber also scored a one-of-a-kind Fisker Karma eco-friendly sportscar as a gift from Braun, with a reported pricetag of $102,000.
Wow SWAG!! Justin received a brand new car on Ellen’s show for his birthday from Scooter and Usher. Now that’s a real gift (not like the Range Rover which Justin paid for mostly). This car is called a Fisker Karma and it runs on 100% electric so it’s good for the environment. The car costs $106,000!
I wonder what he’s gonna do today other than be on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show. And I wonder what Selena will give him for his birthday. What do you get someone who has everything?
