Justin, 17, made a reported $53 million this past year — mostly from his movie, Never Say Never, and his fragrance, “Someday” — while Miley, 18, earned $48 million last year from touring alone!

Can the title be more blunt?
I’ve always been a straight forward, honest person. So honest that some people who don’t know me mistaken it for rude. So I anticipate that what I am going to say will surely make some of you upset. I mean specifically you Selena and Jelena fans. If you’re starting to get upset already reading up to this point then I suggest you go here immediately.
And for those who choose to read on I assume that you at least are open to what I have to say about Justin and Selena’s relationship. Remember this is just my personal opinion.
First let me say that I have nothing against Selena Gomez. I really do think she’s a nice girl. I know I call her Selena Gohome sometimes but I’m just being a clown. Selena is a nice girl. I’m sure of it. Much nicer than someone like Miley and Demi.
But like Miley and Demi, (and must we add Britney, Lindsay, and Christina) she too is a product of Disney. And like it or not, you can’t help but to expect that there is some pressure on Selena to make headlines and to sell. Her career depends on it. Demi has been making headlines for going crazy and Miley has always been crazy. Selena doesn’t do crazy. So what does she do? Justin Bieber. (Keep in mind that her show “Wizards of Waverly Place” is ending, she has a new album coming out in June, and those tickets for her upcoming tour better sell!!)

Justin Bieber has reigned over Taylor Lautner at 2010 Australian Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. On Friday evening, October 8 at Sydney Entertainment Centre, the “Baby” hitmaker was announced to be the recipient of an orange blimp trophy for Hottest Hottie. He also beat fellow nominee Taylor Swift for the title.
The 16-year-old wasn’t the only young performers taking home kudos from the awards voted by Australian teens. Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus also grabbed prizes from the show. Selena landed Fave TV Star nod, while Miley grabbed two awards, Favorite Movie Star and Fave Kiss. The latter she shared with boyfriend and host of the show, Liam Hemsworth.
Though landing the most kudos on the evening, Miley still has to admit defeat from Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens when it comes to the category of cutest couple, which she was nominated with Liam. The “High School Musical” couple garnered most votes for the title, beating also Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom as well as Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

Are the Jonas Brothers getting too old for the biz? Research at the Disney Channel, uncovered by The Daily Beast, says that Nick, Joe, and Kevin are taking a hit in album sales and ratings for their Disney show, “JONAS.”
“I think it’s something of a changing of the guard in terms of a teen pop crush,” said Billboard editor Ann Donahue. “Justin Bieber is definitely the next new thing and is overshadowing the Jonas Brothers.” The Disney research says that 8 and 9 year old girls still love the Jonas Brothers, but 9 and 10 year old girls are embarrassed to talk about them.
While Bieber might have Usher (and Twitter) behind him, the JoBros have the Disney marketing machine on their side. When the newly revamped version of their show – now called “JONAS LA” hits screens on June 20, Disney execs hope that the Jonas Brothers will become cool again.
Hmm. Don’t hold your breath, Mickey Mouse. “The Jonas Brothers aren’t ‘in’ as much anymore,” one young girl told Disney. Another said, “I became less of a fan when ‘Twilight’ came out, and now I’m more into Taylor Lautner.”
If Disney fans are looking for “Twilight”-style romance, they’re not going to get it with “JONAS LA.” The Disney Channel — which caters to 6-14 year olds — allows only one kiss per season, so don’t expect Joe, Nick, or Kevin to steam up your TV screens any time soon.
